The Drive (and Walk)
Another one of those carbuncle-faced ducks. |
This may be the same kind of bird I saw at the beginning of the drive. |
At some point the truck stopped and we were told to get off and walk with the guide through the jungle back to the farm. Lunch would be served when we got back. What was cool was that in one tree there was this large construct of twigs (there were others, but this was by the path). So this is how those little Quaker Parakeets live away from the farm. Large collective nests. Well, they always can be seen in numbers. |
Not far from there we saw the monkeys, but the other shot (under Mammals) is really the only good one. |
Then there was this little bird. Amost impossible to shoot and get anything from it. So it was, Photoshop to the rescue and it revealed a Rufous-tailed Jacamar. |
I played around and tried several techniques to get what I wanted. |
